Q2. Using Revit and the project used from week 6 to 8 prepare a schedule for the following
a. Walls
b. Doors
c. Windows
d. Material – Concrete/Wood
Ans:
AIM
To prepare schedule for the walls, doors, windows and materials (concrete/wood)
INTRODUCTION
A schedule is a tabular display of information, extracted from the properties of the elements in a project. A schedule can list every instance of the type of element you are scheduling, or it can collapse multiple instances onto a single row, based on the schedule's grouping criteria.
PROCEDURE
a) Walls
- Open Revit software
- Open existing project file
- Click 'Schedule/Quantities' in the 'Schedules' under the 'View' tab

- Select 'Walls' from category and click 'OK'

- Transfer the necessary fields in the 'Scheduled fields' and click 'OK'

b) Doors
- Click 'Schedule/Quantities' in the 'Schedules' under the 'View' tab

- Select 'Doors' from category and click 'OK'

- Transfer the necessary fields in the 'Scheduled fields' and click 'OK'

c) Windows
- Click 'Schedule/Quantities' in the 'Schedules' under the 'View' tab

- Select 'Windows' from category and click 'OK'

- Transfer the necessary fields in the 'Scheduled fields' and click 'OK'

d) Material – Concrete/Wood
- Click 'Material Takeoff' in the 'Schedules' under the 'View' tab

- Select 'Floors' from category and click 'OK'

- Transfer the necessary fields in the 'Scheduled fields' and click 'OK'

- Using above procedures, material schedule can be done
RESULTS
Schedule for the walls, doors, windows and material is prepared
a. Walls

b. Doors

c. Windows

d. Material – Concrete/Wood

Q3. Using Revit Calculate area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room tags applied to each room. Prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room.
Ans:
AIM
To prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room
INTRODUCTION
A schedule is a tabular display of information, extracted from the properties of the elements in a project. A schedule can list every instance of the type of element you are scheduling, or it can collapse multiple instances onto a single row, based on the schedule's grouping criteria.
PROCEDURE
- Open Revit software
- Open existing project file
- Rooms are already seperated in week 7 assignment
- Click 'Schedule/Quantities' in the 'Schedules' under the 'View' tab

- Select 'Rooms' from category and click 'OK'

- Transfer the necessary fields in the 'Scheduled fields' and click 'OK'

RESULTS
Schedule report for area and volume of each room is prepared
