Short cut key used : Visibility Graphics and Override setting - VG

  • To increase range of visibility in a plan view

Short cut key used : View range - VR

  • To select previously selected item

Short cut key used : Reselect -Ctrl+<

  • To add annotations to the model views

Short cut key used : Dimension - Dl

  • To bring the model elements in line

Short cut key used : Align - AL

  • To rotate the model elements

Short cut key used : Rotate - R

  • To move an object to another location

Short cut key used : Move - MV

  • To copy model element

Short cut key used : Copy - CO

  • To mirror an element about its axis

Short cut key used : Mirror - MM

  • To create an array of model elelments

Short cut key used : Array - AR

Result :-

The results are given above.

2) Using Revit and the project used from week 6 to 8 prepare a schedule for the following

b. Doors
c. Windows
d. Material – Concrete/Wood

Ans.2.

Aim :- Using Revit and the project used from week 6 to 8 prepare a schedule for the following
a. Walls
b. Doors
c. Windows
d. Material – Concrete/Wood

Introduction :- Using Revit and the project used from week 6 to 8 prepare a schedule for the following
a. Walls
b. Doors
c. Windows
d. Material – Concrete/Wood

Procedure :-

  • Open the Architectural model created previously.
  • Go to view tab, then Schedule, in Schedule you will see schedule/quantities

  • Now select required field.

a. Walls

  • Now for wall schedule choose the parameters for scheduling then click OK

  • Wall is prepared as below

  • Hence, wall schedule is made

Similarly, Schedule of door and Schedule of window with material concrete/wood schedule is made.

b. Doors

  • View , then schedule then in schedule , select quantaties
  • Select doors

  • Now select parameters to be considered for doors.

  • Schedule of Door is given as below

c. Windows

  • View , then schedule then in schedule , select quantaties
  • Select the category windows

  • Now select parameters to be considered for windows.

  • Schedule of Window is given as below

d. Material – Concrete/Wood

  • View , then schedule then in schedule , select takeoff
  • Select the category as floors

  • Select the parameters to be considered for floor material

  • Material takeoff schedule is given as

  • Similarly, Material takeoff scheduleof door is made

Result :-

The results Walls, Doors, Windows, Material – Concrete/Wood are drawn.

3) Using Revit Calculate area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room tags applied to each room. Prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room.

Ans.3.

Aim :- Using Revit Calculate area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room tags applied to each room. Prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room.

Introduction :- Using Revit Calculate area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room tags applied to each room. Prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room.

Procedure :-

  • First we have to open the Revit project and go to the view tab and select the schedules options.
  • After selecting the schedule option the new tab will appear, as shown below.
  • Next we need to select the room schedule and press ok , as shown below

  • Next the schedule properties tab will be displayed, as shown below.
  • Next we need to select the scheduled fields in order and click Ok

  • Next the room schedule tab will be displayed as shown in the below table

Result :-

The results is shown below

4) Using the same schedule using the unit cost rate for materials available in the internet, prepare total cost of materials used in the project
a. Total Cost of Materials
b. Individual Material Take off

Ans.4.

Aim :- Using the same schedule using the unit cost rate for materials available in the internet, prepare total cost of materials used in the project
a. Total Cost of Materials
b. Individual Material Take off

Introduction :- Using the same schedule using the unit cost rate for materials available in the internet, prepare total cost of materials used in the project
a. Total Cost of Materials
b. Individual Material Take off

Procedure :-

FOR WALLS

  • Go to View tab, then schedule then in schedule , select material takeoff
  • Select the category as walls

  • Now select the parameters of wall

  • Now we will include total cost parameters, quantity is calculated
  • Fot this go to add calculated quantatity.

  • The wall material take off is given below

  • Similarly prepare for doors, window, floors, and furniture materials takeoff schedules
  • Door material takeoff schedule

  • Window material takeoff schedule

  • Floor material takeoff schedule

  • Furniture material takeoff schedule

Result :-

Hence the total cost of and individual material takeoff schedule is prepared.

5) Using the concept of Visual Programming discussed in class, list a flowchart for the following scenario
