Creation of geometries by Coordinate system methods using AutoCad

Creating the geometries from P1 to P2 using all the coordinates system methods

Aim

  • Create the geometries from P1 to P2 using all the coordinates system methods, we use line tool and find out the missing dimensions.
  • Civil relate- Draw the profile and the trusses using coordinate system method. The dimension are for refrenece.

Introduction

  • Before drawing on drawing done on AutoCAD, there are coordinates system i.e. Cartesian and Polar system.
  • To these coordinates systems the absolute and relative coordinates are applicable in AutoCAD.
  • Coordinates systems - coordinates systems is a system where numbers are used to determine the unique position of points and /or other geometric elements.
  • Also coordinates systems on AutoCAD can be set by using the mouse input, the values of coordinate in command line and enter coordinate using dynamic input.

There are two coordinate systems in AutoCAD

  • Absolute coordinates system
  • Relative coordinates system
  1. Relative rectangular coordinates system
  2. Relative polar coordinates system
  • Direct distance entry

Absolute coordinates system :- In this system all points are eastabalished at some distance in the X and Y axis (Sometimes on Z axis) from a common origin usually (0,0).

Relative coordinates system :- The location of relative coordinateis defined by its distance from a referene point. In AutoCAd, when using this system the first point of drg is always absolute i.e. it is estabalished w.r.t to origin (0,0) and then all the successive position are eatabalished w.r.t. their preceding point.

Relative rectangular coordinates system :- It is coordinates system that specifies each point by the pair of numerical coordinates in the X-axis and Y-axis. In this system the points succeding the first point are typed as '@x,y' in command line.

Relative polar coordinates system :- The system specifies the distance in length and angle of particular point w.r.t previous point. In This points are eatabalished by typing @ distance

Direct distance entry :- Basically, direct distance entry enables you to draw an object, such as a line, by pointing in a particular direction with the cursor and entering a distance at the command line.
