Report of American Chopper

AIM And OBJECTIVE:

To learn the solidworks interface and simultaneously sketch or model the parts of American Chopper, apply appearences and materials,

Do assembly of moduled parts to get the chopper

Do visualization of the assembled chopper with the environment

INTRODUCTION OF SOLIDWORKS:

solidworks is a mechanical 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software used to create 2D & 3D models , it helps to design product realestic, faster, and more cost-effectively

COMMEN TOOLS USED IN MODELING OF CHOPPER :

PLANE: Here the section view of the model is to be sketched

SKECTH: It gives the work base to create 2D&3D sketches

SMAT DIMENSIONS: By using this easy to provide the dimension value to the sketch to get the desired shape

FILLET: It provides round shape at corner edge

CHAMPER: It provides sloping edges at corners

CONVERT ENTITIES: Using this easy to get sketched into the other plane or same plane with the same dimension value

OFFSET: It adds 3D sketches on the faces,

SHELL: The shell tool hollowa out a part

EXTRUDE BOSS/BASE: Used to get a solid body in one or two direction

REVOLVED BOSS/BASE: Used to revolve the sketch with the reference of axis lines in the solid form

EXTRUDE CUT: Used to remove materials from solid body

SWEPT BOSS/BASE: It proved a solid body by closed profile along an opend and closed path

PATTERN: IOt features the object in particular direction or path

PROJECTED CURVES: It combines two 2D contineous curves into a 3D curves

TRIM: It is used to cut the extra lines of the surface

DOME: Dome is a curved formation of structure,

APPEARANCE: Using this can get a different look& apply different materials

DECALS: Using this tools painted stickers to be applied

COMPONENT OF AMERICAN CHOPPER:

TRANSMISSION BELT: It is made up flexible rubber materials , it transmits power frome one shaft to another

CHASSIS: Chassis is the back bone of the vehicle , it is the structural unit that bears all the load of the vehicle body, and the payload applied to it, All components connected to ths chassis directly or indirectly

CHAIN: The chain is drive is a way of transmitting mechanical power from one sprocket to another

FORK: It holds front wheel it is used to provide direction while riding

FENDER:The fender is the frame installed over the wheel, it also prevents water and mud spray.

GASTANK:It acts as a reservoir tank

OIL TANK: It is also aresrvoir tank, it contains flammeble fuel safely

ENGINE:

WHEEL: A tire is strong , flexible rubber casing attached to the rim of a wheel, tires provide a gripping surfacefor fraction and serve as a cushion for the wheels of a moving vehicle

STAND:It is made up of strong materials located in the lower portion of the chassis it used to provide support to the whole body while resting

ASSEMBLY:In thios assembly part all individual parts inserted into assembly tools of solidworks, fix one of the component into the work base, proved mates and relation remaing part to the fixed one with respect to line, vertex&planes

while do assembly keeps remembering that +sing indicates that parts are over defining and -sing is under defining, solidworks have very freindly tools, while assembling it parts get oversized or irregular shape can be edited in an assembly work base

RENDERING: It is importent part because of different materials colors etc, to be applied to assemble one here the product to be seen under environmental conditions with different view
