SURENDHER MODELING OF YACHT

AIM&OBJECTIVE:

* To apply different tools of surfacing in solid works

* Make a model of the yacht using solid works

* Do assembly and rendering using solidworks

INTRODUCTION

Solid work is mechanical 3D CAD (Computer-aided design)software used to create 2D&3D models it helps to design products better, faster and more cost -effectively ,

yacht modeling complitely depends on surfsce modeling, in this modeling the most important part to set up the bluprint then as per the requirement of parts in blueprint do the processto get the desired parts

COMMON TOOLS USED IN YACHT MODELING

PLANE: here the section view of the model is to be sketched

SKETCHE: It gives the work base to create 2D&2D sketches

SMART DIMENSSION: By usiong this easy to provide the dimension value to the sketch to get the desired shape

FILLET: It provides round shape at corner edges

CHAMFER: It provides sloping edges at corners

EXTRUDE SURFACE: Used to get surface from the sketch

REVOLVE SURFACE: Used to revolve the sketch with the reference of axis or lines in the surface form

SWEPT SURFACE: It provide a surface by closed profile along an open and closed path

OFFSET SUREFACE: Used to get pre surface on another plane

KNIT SURFACE: Used to provide appropriate tolerance

EXTEND SURFACE: Used for extension of surface

FILLED SURFACE: Used to fill the blank surface

CONVERT ENTITIES: Using this easy to get sketched into the other plane or same plane with the same dimension value

OFFSET: It adds 3D sketches on faces

EXTRUDE BOSS/BASE: Used to get a solid body in one or two direction

REVOLVED BOSS/BASE: Used to get revolve the sketch with the reference of axis or line in this solid form

EXRUDE CUT:Used to remove materials from the solidbody

SWEPT BOSS/BASE: It provide a solid body by closed profile along an open and closed path

PATTERN : It features the object in a particular direction or path

PROJECTED CURVE: It combines two 2D contineous curves into a 3D curves

TRIM: It is used to cut the extra line of the surface

APPEARANCE: Using this can get a different looks &apply different materials

SHELL: The shell tool hollows out a part

DECALS: Using this tools painted stickers to be applied

FINAL ASSEMBLY OF YACHT

PROPELLER:

It rotary motion through the air create a difference in pressure between the front and back surfaces of its blade it provides thrust so that yacht moves easily

RADAR:

It is used to detect the object`s position signals etc. Relative to the position of yacht

HULL:

It is the watertight enclosure of the ship which protects the goods carrying area machinary and accomodation spaces of the ship

from the weather flooding and structural damage

GARAGE DOOR :

It provides safety from bad weather moisture etc.

SEAT :

It is used for the purpose of rest , it is also an important part of the superstructure

SUPERSTRUCTURE:

A superstructure is an upward extension of the yacht it is like a head &gives apretty good look and mounted over the hull by the base isolation whole yacht can be protected from severe damage

RADAR MAST:

It is the complete assembly of the radar system which protects from the harmful things

ASSEMBLY YACHT:

In assembly part all

individual parts inserted into assembly tools of solidworks fix one of the component into the workbase proved mates and relation remaining part to the fixed one with respect to line vertex& planes

RANDERING:

It is very important part because of different materials colors etc. to be applied to assembly one here the product to be seen under environmental conditions with different views it gives a realistic view of the model relative to the environment
