DESIGNING HOOD USING NX CAD SOFTWARE
Aim:
To design the hood and assemble using NX CAD software.
Objective:
Designing hood outer panel,inner panel with its reinforcements ,mastic point and assemble using given design parameters and master skin data.
Introduction:
Hood or bonnet is the cover for engine compartment and providing pedestrian safety,occupant safety . To design hood proper safety requirement conditions are to be considered.
Hood components:

- reinforcements
- hinge assembly
- striker
- hood outer panel
hood outer panel is the outer part of hood and designing it should satisfy pedstrian safety .
- hood inner panel
hood inner panel gives strength to outer panel and while designing it mastic points should be considered to avoid wobbling. It gives proper air circulation and safety.

The reinforcements are given for strength of hood.
