Photo Realistic Rendering

DESIGN AND ASSEMBLE THE PARTS WITH RENDERING OF AMERICAN CHOPPER MODEL USING SOLIDWORKS.

Objective:

               To create the model of american chopper by designing the parts individualy and assemble it and render using solidworks.

Introduction:

                The chopper was orginally based on land speed record motorcycles and drag racing motorcycles, which had racked front ends,lower suspension and frames, narrow front tyres ,small gas tanks and rear tyres for tractions.The term "chopper" means chop off of or modify a motorcycle.

Design methodology / approach:

  • Design the parts of american chopper.
  • Assemble the designed parts and sketch decals.
  • rendering the assembly of american chopper.

Description:

  • Design the parts of american chopper.

Transmission belt;

To transmit the power from engine to gear box.Here the tools and features used are sketch, offset,extrude,fillet,and appearances.

Kickstand;

To support the chopper as a side stand.Here tools and features used are sketch,loft,dome,boss extrude,extruded cut,fillet,split and apperances.

Front fender;

To protect rider and chopper other parts from debris ,foriegn particles ,which is mounted above front wheel.Here the tools and features used are sketch,offset entities, trim entities,revolve,splitand apperances.

Rear fender;

To perform the same function of front fender.Here the tools and features used are sketch,offset entities,trim entities,revolve,split and apperances.

Oil tank;

To store the oil required fo running the engine.Here the tools and features used are sketch,boss extrude,combine, fillet,shell and apperances.

Chain;

To transmit the power from engine to rear wheel.Here the tools and features used are sketch,trim,pattern,extrude,blocks and apperances.

Pedal;

To give comfort riding by placing rider leg on it.Here the tools and features used are sketch,extrude,fillet,linear pattern,dome,chamfer and appearances.

Front wheel;

Circular wheel made up of alloy/steel with tyre covered with threads in tyre for moving the chopper from its initial state.Here the tools and features used are sketch,fillet revolve linear pattern ,revolve cut circular pattern,chamfer and apperances.

Rear wheel;

Perform the same function of front wheel.

Front fork;

To give front suspension by having large shock abosrbers with internal coil springs.Here the tools and features used are sketch,trim,extrude,revolve,split plane,convert entities,move/copy body,mirror dome,combine,project curve,sweep and apperances.

Chassis;

To provide frame/skeleton of chopper such that all other parts can be mounted in it .Here the tools and features used are sketch,offset entities,project curve,trim,plane sweep,split,revolve cut extrude,fillet combine and apperances.

Engine;

To convert chemical energy into heat energy into mechanical rotation of wheel. Here the tools and features used are sketch ,convert entities,trim, revolve,boss extrude,offset,cut extrude,dome ,fillet,project curve,composite curve,mirror, split, and circular pattern.

Gas tank;

To sore gas and supply to engine whenever is needed, Here the tools and features used are sketch,trim,projected curve,convert entities,sweep surface,loft surface,fill surface,surface trim,knit,sweep cut,fillet and appearance.

  • Assemble the designed parts and sketch deacals.

Adding all designed parts into assembly space.Once chassis is fixed all other parts also mated to form a chopper assembly.Decals are sketched for gas tank,oil tank and rear fender.

  • Rendering the assembly of american chopper;

To bring the realistic image of american chopper assembly using solidworks visuliaze. Changing scene , color

and other realistic effects.

Conclusion:

Each part is individually designed,assembled and rendered to give a realistic look of american chopper.
