When the vehicle is in motion, rotating tyre tends to pick up stones and harmful particles and hurl them in all directions. A fender basically prevents any injuries to the pedestrians and contain the motion of such particles. While designing a fender, the designer emphasizes on the aesthetic appeal of the part. Whereas an engineer studies the design and concludes whether the design can be manufactured or not and also does it follow the safety regulations as provided by different organizations in different areas of the world.

According to the european standards the distance between wheel and fender arch must be 10mm or more than 10mm at all the positions.

Since the given model does not follows the standards then it concludes that the given model is not a good design.
