Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge

Wheel arch design considerations:

In india we follow the europian standards for this particular wheel arch design. So considering europian standards the below image shows the terms used to design the fender. We have to calculate the distance L which should be equal or greater than 10mm. To calculate the distance L we need five points which was created by the lines which is shown.  

Provided class A surface.

Datum plane was created at the outter most part of the wheel.

Sketch to create five points.

The points were projected on the Fender object.

Then the distance between the created point and projected point was measured to find whether it satisfy the design requirment or not.

Only to region satisfy the design requirments other three points need to be modify.

Conclusion:

        What we can see from the above result is we need to modify the class A surface. For that we need to inform the styling team to modify the surface. So that it might meet the disign requirments.
