Fender Design Challenge
Objective:
The main objective of this challenge is to create a Fender with the help of the input data & the given Master section details using Catia V5
Design Of Front Fender
A fender is different than a bumper because it's a metal structure that frames the wheel well of your car, instead of the front or back. The fender extends between the front door to the front bumper covering the front wheels of the vehicle.

Design Of Drip Area
1. It is the important mounting unit of the fender, it is connected with the engine compartment, therefore lot of design constraint are to be followed while designing the fender.
2. While designing the drip area we have to initially leave 200-300mm for cowl top
3. For placing the headlamp we have to leave at least 150mm at the front while designing the fender.
4. Cowl top part consists of wiper motor and its instruments.
Design Of Bumper Mount Area
It helps to fix the plastic bumper to fender with the helps of fasterners.
Design of Sill Mounting
Sill is the panel directly below of the door supporting the floor and may be used to combine the floor and body. The Bottom end of the fender is mounted on the sill body for reinforcement of the fender panel, thus the sill mounting position is designed with holes and emboss M5 Fasteners are used to fix the fenders on the sill body.
Design Of A - Pillar
The A-Pillar is a structural pillar that combines the body of the roof. The frontFender are fastned to A-Pillar.
Design Of Baffle mounting area
Baffle Mounting or mudguard are clip fit type of mounting on the inner side of the fender arch over the Tyre, it protects the car engine compartment and pedestrians from causing injuries from chip out debris on the road when the car is in motion they are mounted on the fenderusing a special type of locking clips which are made up of plastics.
Fender Thickened for 0.75mm.
