Fender Design Challenge
Objective: Design of Fender mounting areas like Drip area , A pillar mounting , Sill Mounting , Bumper mounting using the given Master sections.
The primary purpose of Fender is to shield Dust , rock and debris from entering inside, it also has Crash and Safety regulations and Gap adn Flushness requirements to be met as it is a exterior panel.
The major and important mounting is the Drip area, which is connected to the engine compartment via another bracket.

The below Section is considered for designing the drip area, Distance of 150mm from the Headlamp and about 200mm from A pillar mounting is considered for starting the drip area design.

Also while designing the Flanges , care should be taken to avoid long flanges which will affect the engine compartment minimum 10mm clearence is to be maintained.
The mountings are designed on flat surfaces for which we use the Emboss comand with Flat plane as end face , apart from that darts are added for increasing strength of the flange.
With respect to side reference line , the width of Fender should be checked before proceeding with the Design , if its not matching 50mm requirement then styling of fender needs to be changed.

Drip Area,

Sill Mounting with Relief- Relief is required in multiple areas to avoid tearing of flange during stamping operations.

Bumper Mounting area- With Darts- Darts help to strenghten the flange and avoid spring back effect

A pillar Mounting area.

Conclusion- All mounting areas are designed as per given master section
