Fender Design Challenge
AIM: the main objective of this project is fender design using NX CAD.
Fender:
A fender is the part of a car that protects and frames its wheels and keeps mud from splashing it. Most modern vehicles have fenders on their front wheels. When you get into a minor car accident, you can call it a "fender bender," and it's possible that your fenders did get slightly dented.

Types of bumper:
1.half bumper
2.full bumper
Presently ,we are using the half bumper type, the reason for choosingthe half bumper type is that we choose the full bumper type the blank used for creating it is very large and also has the lot of wastage but in the case of half bumper type we reduce the scarp.
Fender wheel arc:
The wheel arch is the semicircular part positioned above the wheel of a vehicle.
The most important body change was that the front wheel arch was cut higher into the fender.
Corrosion had occurred around the splash plate at the back of the wheel arch.
The car has big, high-definition headlights that extend to the wheel arch.
Objectives of wheel arc:
The objectives of wheel arc challenge is to calculate the wheel arc area and to prove whether the given fender of car will pass the European standards or not.
Given data:

Design of trip area mounting:
It is important mounting mounting of fender. It is connected with the engine compartment, therefore the lot of design constraints are to be followed while designing the fender.while designing drip area to leave 200-300 from top.for placing the headlamp we have to leave at least150mm at front while designing the fender.

Design of sill mounting area:
Sill is the panel directly below the bottom of the door supporting the floor and may be used to combine the floor of the body. The bottom end of the fender is mounted on the sill body for reinforcement of the fender panel, thus still mounting is provided with the emboss and hole.M5 fasteners are used for the fenders.

Design of bumping mounting area:
It is used to fix the plastic bumper to the fender with help of the fasteners.

Design of A-pillar mounting area:
The A-pillar mounting is the structural pillar that combines the body to the roof.this makes the side of the wind shield rest. Front fenders are fasteners to A-pillar to form robust structure.

Design of baffle mounting area:
It is clip fit type of mounting area on the inner side of the fender arc over the tyre. It is mounted on fender by using locking clips.

Applying thickness:
0.75 mm thickness is applied.
