Fender Design

FENDER:

  • The main purpose of the fender is to prevent sand, mud, rocks, liquid being thrown into the air by the rotating tyres. So it will damage the surface of the car.
  • There are two types of fender:

                      Full bumper type

                      Half bumper type

DESIGN OF DRIP MOUNTING:

  • As per the mastersection we are going to design the drip mount and we will follow the design parameters as per the industry and other area to.
  • Drip mount which will mounted to the engine compartment.
  • While designing the drip area we have to initialy leave 200-300 mm for cowl top.
  • For placing the headlamp we have to leave at least 150mm in front.
  • Two darts are added in order tp provide the stiffener and add strength to the parts.

DESIGN OF BUMPER MOUNTING:

Bumper mounting area is used to fix the plastic bumper to the fender with the help of fasteners.

DESIGN OF SILL MOUNTING:

Like drip mount we have to create sill mount too and we made sure that we did't have any sharp corners.

DESIGN OF COWL MOUNTING:

DESIGN OF A PILLAR MOUNTING:
