Design of backdoor
AIM:- To develop the car backdoor (Tail gate) with the referance of given skin data as per engineering standard by using NX12
BACK DOOR:-
The back door is typically hinged, but sometime attached by the other mechanisms such as tracks, in front of an opening which is used entering and exiting a vehicle.
A vehicle door can be opened to provide access to the opening, or close to secure it. these doors can be opened manually, or powered electronically. powered doors are usually found on minivans, high end cars, or modified cars.

Types of back doors:-
1. Top mounted
2. Side mounted
3. Bootom mounted
Top mounted back dooors:

Side mounted back door;

Bottom mounted back door:

Design consideration:
. Visibility ceriteria
. Latch and striker position
. Hing position
. gas stay position
. Space availibilty
. Drain holes
. hemming and relief area's
Component of back dooe:-
a. Inner panel
b. Outer panel
c. Hing reinforcement
d. Latch and striker reinforcement
e. Gas stay reinforcement
f. Wiper moter reinforcement
Inner panel:

Hnge reinforcement:-
Hinges are the essential, that allow doors to pivot on one edge as they open and close. they are found on virtually all doors it is a mechanical bearing connects two solid object, typically allowing only a limited angle of rotation between them.

Gas stay reinforcement:-
It is used to till up the tail gate.
There are two types of gas stay reinforcvement is there. that they are
a. Manual system
b. Power lift system
manual system:-
This mechanism is most used in indian cars it is operated man by this own.

Power lift system:-
it works on the basic of sensor.

Latch reinforcement:-
A latch is not the same as the locking mechanism of a door or window althrough often are found together in the same product latched range in complexity from flexible one-piece flat spring of metal or plastic, such as are to keep blow molded plastic power tool cases closed, to multi-point commed latches used to keep large doore closed.

Wiber motor reinforcement:-
It is smell electric which is mounted in the rear tail gate it used to clean the rear wind sheid for clear visiability.

Force distribustion:-
When the car hited at rear end, the force which ected should be react outside. the Y emboss which is helps to move the force to the outer end.

Corner relief:-
Relief help to control sheet material behivour and to prevent unwanted deformation during unbend operations. so here i gave two corner relief for back door.

Hemming:-
Hemming and seaming are two similar metalworking processes in which a sheet metal edge is rolled over onto itself hemming is the process in which the edge is rolled flush to itself, while a seam joins the edges of two materials

Isometric Viwe:-
