Week-4 Challenge WOT Condition Part-2
1. MAPPED model :- mapped model are used when the behavior of a particular model is not of not interest and can ba modeled with predefined values in the form od=f lookup tables
madded motor and drive electronics operating torque control model we have to specific electrical torque range with a torque speed envelope or maximum motor power and torque . output torque tracke a torque referance demand and including a motor and drive response time constant the operating range , measure loss , measured efficinecy.
DYNAMIC model:- dynamic model are used when the internal response to a model with respect to its component is needed
motor component such as inverter , phase controller , feedback circuitare also model
2. simulink block to calculate miles per gallon
. vehicle speeds data is used to calculate the distance travelled in etar which is then converter to miles
. battery power data is used to find power used in KWH which is then converter using USEPA value by dividing with 33.7
. dividing distance traveled in miles by th3e number of gallons . we can get miles per gallon
. HEV this gallon (gasoline-equvilentof batter power) is added with gallon used by IC engine then miles per gallon is calculate
3. results :- increase the grade and wind velocity
. peak velocity achived is reduced as gradient force and aerodynamics force becouse dominant
. fuel economy is also reduce becouse the distance traveled is reduced due to external force
. deceleration is also reduced bso better recharging capacity is also reduced
. battery SOC at the end of WOT acceleration is simller but during decleration battery is charge more is the grade and wide velocity is less
4. simulation conditions
simulation is done for 50 sec and the 40 sec WOT drive cycle is used with WOT acceleration for 0-300 sec achieving a maximum speed of 26.8m/s and decleration for 10 sec (30-40)
SOMMARY
. time taken to achive the required peak velocity is less for HEV as compared to EV
. deceleration time is also low for HEV as it has many moving frictional parts
. fuel economy is more for an EV compared to HEV due to less no of moving parts and thus low frictional losses
