Creating Architectural and Structural model with 3D rendering using REVIT
Q.1. Select the type of structure you want to build from one of the three below:
a. Multi-Unit Residential Apartment
b. Office Buildings
c. School
Ans= I have selected b.)multi-unit residential appartment structure from the afforementioned list.

Q.2. Assume reasonable assumptions for geographic and location details for your project modeling. Based on assumptions and type of structure selected identify the modeling requirements from NBC.
Ans=
Aim:- To selecet the geographical location for my project. I have selected Kolkata,India location where land is plane and there is a road of 60 feet wide in front of my building.
Introduction:-
I will use location tool from location settings. Also, select the modeling requirements from National building code 2016.
For Geographic and location details assumptions which I have made are:-
1. My project is in residential area (medium populated)
2. Road width in front of my apartment is 60 feet
3. My project is in plain area (geographical)
Step 1: Open Revit
Open New REVIT File and save it as Project 2

Step 2:
Go to Manage Tab and go to Project location Tab
Click on the location to set the location

Location is set
The modeling requirements as per NBC
Points to remember while designing a residential building.
- A master plan should be drawn up for the site as a whole. For this purpose, the services of a good architect should always be taken for the planning of the building. However, teachers and heads of the institution should also try to equip themselves for giving suggestions to architects or planners in order to make the school plant more useful and serviceable.
-
As per the NBC
Height Limit as per FAR Calculation and as per NBC Table 5 V-1
Min length and width of rooms as per NBC V-1
Fire and safety from NBC part IV
Q.3. Using the structural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Foundation – Isolated / Wall/Matt Foundation
b. Columns
c. Beams Connected to Columns
d. Roof Framing/ Truss
e. Floor / Decks
f. Floor Openings for Elevators and Stairs
Ans=
Aim:- To use structural tools and to draw a multi-unit residential appartment structural model.
Introduction:-
The Structural Analysis Toolkit for Autodesk Revit software is a suite of tools that supports the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process, and allows structural engineers to analyze structures from within the Revit environment. Using this toolkit, structural designers and engineers can optimize their workflows in the cloud and on the desktop, by using the analytical model built in Revit to conduct cloud-based structural analysis. Accessing the Autodesk 360 services, and by extending the Revit model to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional software, or supported third party analysis solutions. Once complete, analysis results can be easily stored and explored in the Revit environment.
Procedure:-
Step 1: Creating base floor Plan
Create base floor plan in AutoCAD For reference

Step 2: Create Grids
