Creating a Residence Layout, Seating plan, Toilet and Utility room plan using AutoCad

AIM : To Draw the layout of a residence plan

Step Wise Procedure

• Enter the Xline command draw the line in both X-axis and Y-axis
• Make offset of 9'' and make the wall
• The main wall is made of thickness 9''
• Partition walls are made of thickness 4.5'' next enter the offset command box then press enter and select the lines which we have drawn previously and offset the lines to 9.0''
• After Providing the walls remove the extra lines using trim command
• in the same way offset command is used to partition the rooms toilets living and dining halls as per the dimentions

• Stair Case Provided is a Dog Legged Stair
• Draw the stair left side of the parking with 1 tread and 6 riser then shown in figure clearly
• Next we have to draw the doors with the given dimenssions for D1,D2,D3

• Provide the dimenssions
• Differentiate the doors and stair case using different colours
• Give the names of the rooms in residential building
• To provide the names M text command is used

Result :The Given Residential plan is drawn using AutoCAD

2) Sketch the seating plan for an outdoor canopy. Assume the dimensions for the seating. Also, consider the dimensions in mm.

AIM: To Draw the given seating plan for an outdoor canopy in details

Introduction

• A canopy is an overhead roof or else a structure over which a fabric or metal covering is attached,able to provide shade or shelter from weather conditions such as sun,hail,snow,and rain
• Canopy can also be a tent,generally without a floor, The sitting plan of outdoor canopy is places in many place, like receptions,restaurantsetc,,

Procedure

Creating Circles

• Select metric units as the diamenssions in mm
• Draw a circle with a command ''C'' select a center point and give the radius as1398mm
• Draw another circle with same center with radius 452mm
• Draw an offset of 200mm from the inner circle to determine the position of chairs
• Draw lines along the diameter of the bigger circle

Drawing chairs

• Draw a rectangle with command REC giving dimenssions as 400mm and 200mm
• Draw an arc with start-center and end method with the end points and center of the side 400mm of rectangle
• Draw another rectangle of 55mm*100mm for the handel of the chair command REC select the base point and click on dimenssion and give as 55mm and 100mm
• copy it on the other side so that the bot handels are framed
• Fillet the corner of rectangle by 50mm command ''O'' give the fillet radius as 50mm and select the two lines and trim off the unwanted lines
• Move the chair and place it such a way that it touches the offset 200mm circle by using command M select the base point and move it

• Mirror the chair to the opposite side-command ''MI'' select the base point and draw the reference line where we need to mirror
• Rotate the chair and move it so that the chair in left side is created command ''RO'' select the base point and rotate to desired angle
• Again mirror the chair so as to create in right side

Result The sitting plan of the outdoor canopy is drawn

AIM : To draw plan for toilers and utility rooms

Introduction :

• A toilet room usually consists of obviously a toilet; Lavatory and all of the accessones, such as grab bars and dispensers
• There are many layouts of this but we will explore one very simple design and the code requirements for each
• The utility room has serveral uses but typically functions as an area to do laundry
• This room contains laundry equipment such as a washing machine, tuble dryer iroining board and cloths iron
• The room is also used for closest organization and storage
• The room would normally contain a second coat closet which is used to store seasonal clothing such as winter costs or clothing which are no longer used daily

Procedure

First create a new AutoCAD file with metric units

Set the limits with command ''LIMITS'' ,Specify the left corner points and right corner points and enter zoom all

Draw construction lines by command ''XL-V'' for vertical and ''XL-H'' for horizontal

Trim the left side and bottom position of the construction lines

Drawing utility room

Draw an offset of 300mm from the left side of vertical construction line and an offset of 150mm from the bottom horizontal construction line

Draw an offset of 2100mm upwords and 1900mm towords the right side and give the wall thickness of 150mm and 300mm respectively

Drawing DH Toilet:

Draw an offset of 1700mm upwords and wall thickness of 300mm as it is the external wall, and a room is formed

Trim off the rest of the construction lines

Create Opening for doors

From Toilet,after offset of 100mm, give another offset of 832mm and trim to form the door opening by creating 12.5mm hinge and then draw circle to the midpoint of another side of wall,Trim off the rest of circle to form an arc

Draw window of 728mm in the utility room by offset at a distance of 201mm and 150mm wall thickness upwords

Extend the wall of toilet towords it ad offset 402mm offset wall thickness as 150mm

Fillet the corners of the room

Drawing of utility symbols:

In the command line enter ''DS'' and select en-us-home utility-select the symbol by drawing them AutoCAD screen and place whereever required

Result : plan for toilers and utility rooms is drawn
