Challenge 9 : Project : Technical Surfacing Kia Sportage
1.TITTLE OF THE PROJECT:
Technical surfacing for the given Blue print.
2.OBJECTIVE:
Generating good quality surfaces by achieving continuity.
3.INTRODUCTION:
Building good quality curve network to achieve better surfaces for the given blue print.
4.DESIGN METHODOLOGY:
5.DESCRIPTION:
1.Inserting canvas images of all the views. (FRONT, BACK, TOP, SIDE)
2.Creating dimension box of required shape.
3.Adjusting all the images within the box.
4.SIDE VIEW
5.Draw the curves on Fender visualize it from top and front.
6.Copy the Fender curves move to Rear fender
7.Use skin & Rail Command make it Positional (G0) continuity.
8.Draw the curves on the side view visualize it from top.
9.Use square command for Generating surfaces.
10.If there are no 4 sides, use Rail command make it as Positional continuity.
11.Using msDraft for the Hi-line.
12.FRONT VIEW
13.Draw the curve from bottom of the Fender to middle of the front bumper.
14.Draw the hypothetical curve make it align with G2. and adjust the cvs, visualize from the top view.
15.Copy the curve and generate the shape of front Bumper.
16.Use Square and Rail commands. Make it Positional G0.
17.Repeat the same process in the Rear Bumper and Tail gate.
18.TOP VIEW
19.Draw the curves on the top view visualize it from the side.
20.Use Rail command, Trim the unwanted.
21.Use Align Tool make it as positional from Top to Rear.
22.Draw the Curves on wheels and generate surfaces.
23.Copy the surfaces of Wheel and move it to Rear
24.Draw all the shapes of the given blue print and trim the unwanted.
25.Pick the surfaces into a new layer and make it symmetry.
