Solution:
Given details with assumptions:
- Location: Bangalore
- Occupants: 5
- Occupant age-group range: 5 to 100 years
- Minimum Monthly commute: 1500 to 2000 kilometers
- Car Budget: 10 lakhs on road
- Preferences: Big Cars
What would be a "good car" for Mr.D.S.Pughazhyendhii?
Mr.D.S.P. needs a reliable car that is spacious, comfortable, and entertaining to sit inside as well. We need him and his family to be safe as well and since his time spent behind the wheel per month is a little more than the average time spent, it is wise for him to pick a vehicle that has passed crash tests with good results. Getting an automatic transmission would reduce driving stress on the congested roads of Bangalore. Keeping all these factors in mind, we should not empty Mr.D.S.Pughazhyendhii's wallet as the specified budget cap is at 10 lakhs and a price over this range would make him unhappy and it won't be a "good car" for him.

We will perform a benchmark report now. We will basically compare the size ie. dimensions of the vehicle, the weight, Peak torque only, NCAP rating, safety features, transmission and infotainment available on the vehicle.
We will now benchmark cars that are meeting our requirements:

Among these two vehicles, the bigger, more powerful and more entertaining car is the Tata Nexon XE petrol variant, however, the Tata Punch is an automatic transmission car with better child crash test- Ncap ratings. Power comes to almost no use in heavy traffic and Bangalore being a congested city it would be easier to drive or park a slightly smaller car than the Nexon. Therefore among the two Tata cars, I would pick the Tata Punch AMT over the Nexon XE petrol variant.
Brand Maruti Suzuki:

Among the three vehicles from Maruti Suzuki, The Brezza has the best NCAP rating, a good height and decent infotainment for the road. So we will moe ahead with the Brezza LXi model among the three Maruti Suzuki Vehicles.

Among these two Korean brands, the Venue would make more sense as it has a better NCAP rating for a lower price. The other specifications of the vehicles are almost the same.

Among these four vehicles, the Ford Ecosport might be the best car for our customer since he likes big cars.
On comparing the following cars:
Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger and Ford Ecosport.

Final Verdict:
From the table, I have chosen the Renault Kiger RXT AMT because it's an Automatic vehicle that is very convenient to drive in congested areas like Bangalore city. It also has the maximum airbags compared to the other models and has a good NCAP rating of 4 stars. The Kiger also has the best infotainment system that is factory fitted. So for these reasons, the Renault Kiger would be the best option within the given budget. It is however recommended that Mr.D.S.P take all the last four cars from our list for a test drive before he buys any vehicle.
