defination

benchmarking in an automobile industry involves a structural comparision between similar products,services (or) processes on some dimension of performance.

it is a technical word of comparision. it's about a study of existing product. by doing a benchmarking we can sorting of a one product respect with process,specs,functional and etc. we can find the one which we want among a N number of product.

when it's comes to the vehicle development process benchmarking is the formost  important  to do a pre design development.

these are the basic information about a benchmarking. usually we can do a benchmarking regardless of all the applications.

benchmarking is a key to improvement.

we can do a bench marking internally and also externallly.

 

 here i am going to make a benchmark for pughazhyenthii requirment.

1. TATA NEXON

  

  

the Tata Nexon is a 5-star rated car.

It was the first compact SUV to get this accreditation as well.

 Tata Motors ensured that the Nexon is suitably kitted and gets all the right goodies including a sunroof and petrol/diesel engines with auto transmissions as well.

The Tata Nexon has a 1.2-litre turbo petrol good for 120hp of power and 170Nm whereas the 1.5-litre diesel makes 110hp and 260Nm. Both engines are available with a 6-speed manual or AMT.

Prices of the Nexon start from Rs 6.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

2. VITARA BREEZA

vitara breeza is a 4 star rating car for safety.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has got a 4-star rating from GNCAP.

It also got a facelift earlier this year and at the same time, also has a new petrol engine now.

This 1.5-litre motor is good for 104hp of power and 138Nm.

It can be ordered with a 5-speed manual or AMT.

Maruti also adds a mild-hybrid system to the equation that equates to a good mileage on-road.

4.HYUNDAI VENUE

Hyundai India has launched hyundai venue mIT  at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

It’s offered with the 120PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and comes in two variants.

The clutchless transmission utilises a 6-speed gearbox and takes care of the clutching duties. 

Hyundai has also introduced a new Sport trim which comes with plenty of sporty cosmetic enhancements.

Moreover, there’s a new top-spec S+ variant introduced in the 1.2-litre petrol variant which is priced from Rs 8.32 lakh (ex-showroom).

review 

  i have selected a  vehicle to do a benchmarking for a Pughazhyendhii  requirement. the four different cars are has their own unique specifications, for example triber coming with 7 seater (muv). i took this car because i believe Pughazhyendhii  liked big cars with affordable prices. 

 what i'm pretending is for pugazhyendhi his family is a most important one than anything else. as for everyone so i'm litterally focusing on safety rather than speed. now a days mostly all the cars are coming with a air bags. it's is an  essential one.

 after a complete analyse among the four cars i picked up a TATA NEXON.

for the reason given below

 

REASONS

It has a 5 star rating in crash test.  

it has a enough cabin space and boot space

attractive look with sun roof

brake assist. option

i just aware of tata which is an indian company.  so i believe this was really familier with indian conditions. and in other hands it is increasing our economic.

and it comes with Pughazhyendhii  budget.

CONCLUSION

from the above 4 cars i'm suggesting a tata nexon car for high on safety and an aggressive look.
