Benchmarking

Benchmarking: Benchmarking involves a structured comparison between similar products, services, or processes on some dimensions of performance. For example, it can be used to compare the availability and delivery of features in a product and in this form often provides the basis of consumer tests and reviews. These look at products and services and provide recommendations based on which is best or some form of ranking amongst competitors.

Problem Statement:

Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore which is a highly crowded city. His Family comprises five members including his wife, five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once a month. Also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road. Please suggest to him with options so that he will buy a good car for his family.

Note: Pughazhyendhii is fond of big cars

Customer requirement and Input Data:

1.Location: Bangalore(Crowded city)

2.Seating Capacity: 5 members

3.Driving type: Daily use and long drive once in a month( So the milage should be good)

4.Budget: 8 to 10 lakhs

5.Pughazhyendhii is fond of big cars.

So from this data let's find the cars:

AS Pughazhyendhii likes big cars so we go with SUV type cars which are good for the long drive, good space and a good view of surrounding in traffic.

So after comparing all the aspects we should go with Hyundai Venue E because it has good milage, we get so many features. The only cons is the cost is little bit high but we get 3 years warranty for unlimited km so that's okay. We can take Kia sonet 1.5 HTE but the problem is it don't have Child Seat Anchor Points. and other two cars have so much less milage and they don't have that much features.

So buying Hyundai Venue E is good option.
