- BENCHMARKING :- It is the process of comparison of similar products on the basic of their performances.
- AUTOMOTIVE BENCHMARKING:- In this process two similar products are compared on the basic of their performances ,keeping in mind certain parameters and finally come to a common conclusion.

- A five seater SUV car with more space.
- A deisel variant will be best suited keeping in mind the economy and mileage but due to the money constraint of 8-10 lakhs ,petrol variant is considered.
- keeping in mind the traffic of bangalore an automatic transmission car will be suitable but due to contraint manual transmission vehicle is considered.
- A car with descent performance and safety is required.
On the basis of the above points a benchmarking is done to compare the specifications,advantages and other considerable factors.
PERFORMANCE :-
- MAHINDRA XUV300 and TATA NEXON have better power and torque over KIA SONET and HYUNDAI VENUE.
- TATA NIXON is having a little bigger cylinder of 1199cc in comparison to other cars.
- Coming to ARAI MILEAGES KIA SONET gives the best mileages over the other three cars and also gives a second best mileage in city in KMPL.
