Benchmarking
Benchmarking is the process to identify areas for improvement by comparing the design and performance of a vehicle. This process includes safety features, design elements, measurement of fuel efficiency, emission and overall performance. To make the design better and take better decisions about design and performance benchmarking is carried out. In benchmarking, comparisons between various categories of cars like SUVs, hatchback, sedan, crossover, etc. is carried out, sometimes comparison between the same segments of vehicles are also carried out such as full SUVs, compact SUVs and crossovers for enhancing the performance of a car. The various comparisons are noted and compared to design and manufacture a better car that too within the budget which are available in the market.
