BENCHMARKING:
Benchmarking in the automobile industry involves a structured comparison between similar products and services on some dimensions of Performance.
OBJECTIVE:
Need to suggest the best car in the segment available between 8 to 10 lakhs segment. It should suit all of their requirements.
INPUTS GIVEN BY CLIENT:
- Price Range: 8 - 10 lakh
- Occupancy: 5 members
- Usage: Daily Office commute and also the monthly trip of 1000km

- Hyundai I20
- Tata Tigor
- Honda Amaze
- Renault Kiger
- Maruthi Baleno
COMPARISON:
HYUNDAI I20
Hyundai I20 is both diesel and petrol options available. Petrol Sportz costs 9.6 lakhs on road base diesel version is10 lakhs. For comparison, I will take a petrol engine.
TATA TIGOR
Tata Tigor is available in both petrol and CNG options. In petrol XZA Plus Dual Tone Roof AMT (Top Model) costs 10 lakhs. Whereas in the case of CNG XZ variant comes with 9.54 lakhs price. It is the mid variant. For comparison, I will take a petrol engine.
HONDA AMAZE
In Honda amaze both diesel and petrol options are available. THE S CVT variant costs 10 lakhs on road whereas the diesel base version costs 10.83 lakhs. For comparison, I will take a petrol engine.
RENAULT KIGER
Renault Kiger is both diesel and petrol options are available. Petrol Sportz costs 9.6 lakhs on road base diesel version is 10 lakhs. For comparison, I will take a petrol engine.
MARUTHI BALENO
Maruthi Baleno is only available in the petrol option. Zeta variant costs 9.88 lakhs on road in Bangalore. It is the mid variant good option.
CONCLUSION:
I will suggest TATA TIGOR as the best suitable car for their requirement. The reason for choosing this car is for the following reasons

- Top Model comes within budget
- Boot space
