Benchmarking

Benchmarking

There are two types of benchmarking.

  • Benchmarking 1-It is car-level benchmarking
  • Benchmarking 2-It is part level analysis

            Analysis reports include

  • Material
  • Thickness
  • No of parts
  • Total weight.

This all Parameter includes in Benchmarking 2

Benchmarking is the technical word of comparison.

Ex

Suppose I will take a Lenovo laptop and it is supposed to be developed same product but a different company like Dell

So first Dell company first study of each part of the Lenovo laptop and get that part and implement some plus points in that part so it could be better than the Lenovo laptop and sell a lot of volume of the same product of his own company and get extra income. And all other feature also so customer get the fully satisfied to take a Dell laptop.

In short, Benchmarking is a process of COMPARISION of what is already there in the market and how do I Implement plus point in that particular product so customer as well as our team get fully satisfied and sell a lot of volume of this product.

Step of Benchmarking

First, choose the best product in the market that you should benchmark against.

Compare the style of the product.

Compare the feature and some data of both organizations to identify the difference between your company's performance.

Considered some attributes in the Benchmarking.

  • Drivability
  • Performance
  • Energy management
  • Ride comfort
  • Pollutant emission
  • Friction
  • Sound / NVH
