Benchmarking
First of all Buying a Car is a big Decision & can be the Desires there are many Models of different OEMs available in the market.and its not easy to select a single car from these overwhelming world ,But if we follow a step-by-step process, the task can become a bit easy. to suggest a better car under the budget of Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii..
Firstly we need to decide whether to go for Petrol or a Diesel Variant. Let’s see the Pros & Cons of each :
BENCH MARKING
Benchmarking is a way of discovering what is the best performance being achieved – whether in a particular company, by a competitor or by an entirely different industry. This information can then be used to identify gaps in an organization's processes in order to achieve a competitive advantage.
Benchmarking allows you to compare your data with aggregated industry data from other companies who share their data. This provides valuable context, helping you to set meaningful targets, gain insight into trends occurring across your industry, and find out how you are doing compared to your competition.
REQUIREMENT OF THE CUSTOMER :
- Price Range : 8 - 10 lakh.
- Occupancy : 5 members.
- Usage : Family.
- Routine :Office.
- Planned : Trip/Vacation - 500km (once in a month)
CAR SUGGESTIONS :
- Hyundai Venue.
- Tata Nexon.
- Toyata Glanza.
- Renaults Kigar.
These are the major points to to taken care before buying the car :
- The Price Of The Car :
Petrol cars are more affordable than diesel cars. Diesel variants are more expensive than their petrol counterparts. The cost of service/maintenance is lower than diesel cars. The cost of service/maintenance is on the higher side. The Showroom cost can vary between 1.0 to 1.5 Lakhs & the On-Road Price will be even more since registration cost of Diesel Vehicle is more.
EX - Hyundai Venue is a 5 seater Compact SUV available in a price range of ₹ 9.17 - 15.84 Lakh.(Petrole & Diesel Variant)
- Mileage :
As the Mileage of Diesel car is more than that of Petrol car. Also the cost of Diesel ( Rs 94.35 per litre ) is less than Petrol ( Rs 107.82 per litre, ). But since the initial cost of Diesel car is more than 1.5 Lakhs as compared to Petrol car, the time require to recover this extra cost will be significant. The disappointing thing is the varition in the rate of petrole and desile is decreasing day by day. as the hyundai Venue provides 17.5 to 23.4 kmpl(kilo meater per liter)
- Maintainance Cost :
The Maintenance cost of Diesel car is more than Petrol car. Thus for every servicing of the car, it will cost 1k to 2k more on a Petrole car.
- Driving Experience :
Diesel Engines are more powerful than Petrol Engines, with higher Torque and smoother driving experience. Although, Diesel Engine also have high NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) compared to Petrol Engines. Even the petrole engine also gives the best performance but there is low torque is produced.
- Features and Technology :
One of the most notable factors in buying a new car may be the safety devices, features, and technology. Buyers should choose vehicles with features that meet their needs but avoid extra features are unnecessary. New cars often come with advanced safety features such as adaptive headlights, automatic parking, and backup cameras. This type of technology can be very beneficial.
BY CONSIDERING THESE ABOVE FACTORS & MR. PUGHAZHYENDHII'S REQUIREMENTS I WOULD RECOMMEND A PETROLE ENGINE VARIENT OF CAR WHICH IS AFFORDABLE FOR HIS PRICE RANGE,ALSO GOOD PERFORMANCE AND ALSO LOW MAINTAINANCE COST
Now we have to select the type of car body that would suit Mr. Pughazhyendhii requirements. As Mr. Pughazhyendhii budgets falls between Rs.8 to Rs.10 Lakhs & since he is fond of Big cars, I would suggest that he should go for a Compact SUV.
I suggest him to take a look at some of the most popular and best selling compact SUV,s under 10 lakh to meet his price segment.
