Objective: To understand 2D drawing then Modeling the metal bracket2 by NX CAD
Introduction: These are manufactured by conducting stamping or die casting operation. These brackets found their application for mounting of any products starting from antennas to TV, projectors or street lights and many more. Apart from this, we have the ability to conduct stress and mechanical testing on brackets depending on the application.
They are manufactured by making use of different engineering process like die casting, stamping or forging. Our company holds expertise in manufacturing all types of brackets along with complete surface treatment like powder coating, liquid painting or galvanizing under one roof. Besides manufacturing this, we also do value added assemblies on brackets like adding fasteners or any other sheet metal assembly into it.
Methodology
Metal Bracket Description
Sketch: Creating a sketch on XZ plane as per required dimension.
Counter flange: Counter flange is a feature to extended a sketch along a vector, by adding thickness value.
Normal cutout: This command is used to cut or removing the material as per requirement by giving the depth.
Unbend: This feature is used to get a flat surface by selecting stationary face and selecting entire model to get flat model.
Braek corner: This command is used to create smooth surface on the edges, by applying a radius.
Advanced Flange: By adding a flange along a edge using a bend angle or a reference face, the edge and reference face can be curved.
Hole: Hole feature is used to create hole on the model as per required.
Gusset: This feature is used to create by selecting a plane for stiffining on the part as square or round as per requirement by applying the raduis.
