Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_5_Odd Shaped Enclosure

Title: Creating a Enclosures with odd shape for Sheetmetal In Nx CAD

Objective: In sheet metal creating a enclosures with odd shape or angle and also forming soild model in to sheet metal model

Introduction : The NX Softwar intergrates with multidisciplinary principles, conceputal design, 3D Modeling, Documentation, engineering analysis, graphical simulations and concurrent engineering. NX CAD is widely used as Computer Aided Design Software in various fields like Aerospace, Automobile, Manufacturing industries. In any model here we can convert soild model in sheet metal formate.

Methodology:

Workflow for converting solid model into Sheetmetal model

Enclosures with odd shapes or angle features

Extured: This command is used to create or extended the material along a vector.

Solid body to sheet metal: This feature is used to create a sheet metal model from generic soild body by ripping edges.

Flanges: This feature is used to add the material to edges at any angle and length.

Jog line: Jog feature is used to lift material on a one side of the line, adding flange between two sides.

Unbend Feature: Unbend feature is used to get flat sheet metal part selecting the stationary face and slecting bend face to get flat part.

Rebend feature: In previous unbend feature is used to create flate sheetmetal part to get Rebend selecting the faces to obatin required shape.

Hole: This feature is used to create a hole as per required types simple hole ,screw clearence hole, threaded hole as per dia.

Flate patteren : Flate pattern is used to conver 3D Model into 2D model by adding bend radius, bend angle and many more.
