Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_6_Bracket

REPORT ON THE DESIGN BRACKET

OBJECTIVE:

Create the design and Draft of the model using Siemens NX CAD Application By Understanding all the features.

INTRODUCTION:

NX formerly known as "unigraphics", is an advanced high-end CAD/CAM/CAE. The NX softwere supports product developing and manufacturing at all stages of the life cycle. NX supports modeling of both complex surfaces and solid models. NX sheet metal provides a set of tools within the NX design of sheet metal parts, dependent on their material and manufacturing process.

In this project Bracket was created to Understand the basics of sheet metal application in Siemens NX. These Bracket has some important features like Contour flange, Normal Cutout, bead and Holes.

DESIGN METHODOLOGY:

COMMANDS USED:

  • Sketch
  • Contour Flange
  • Break Corner
  • Normal Cutout
  • Unbend
  • Rebend
  • Bead
  • Hole
  • Flat pattern

DESCRIPTION:

Sketch: It is the Basic of Any Design.

Contour Flange: It Creates the Base Features by Extruding a Sketch along a Vector by Providing Thickness.

Break Corner: It rounds sharp Corner at Edges.

Normal Cutout: It cuts the model Perpendicular to the Sketches.

Unbend: It flattens the bend and a material adjacent to the bend.

Bead: Lifts the material along the contour Sketches that forms a Stamping Tool.

Rebend: It Restores the bend.

Hole: It Creates the Hole on the Basis of the Circle Created.

Flat pattern: It Creates a flat pattern Features from the formed Sheet Metal Part.
