Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_6_Bracket
MODELING OF BRACKET ON NX CAD
Objective :
To draw 3d modeling of bracket by using NX CAD software
Introduction :
Sheet metal is metal formed by an industrial process into thin, flat pieces. Sheet metal is one of the fundamental forms used in metal working, and it can be cut and bent into a variety of shapes. Countless everyday objects are fabricated from sheet metal. Thicknesses can vary significantly; extremely thin sheets are considered foil or leaf, and pieces thicker than 6 mm (0.25 in) are considered plate steel .
Design methodology

Contour Flange
Workflow :
Draw 2D sketch for given dimension
Select contour flange optition
Give thickness and width (T - 3mm W - 200mm)

Normal Cutout
Workflow :
Draw 2D sketch for rectangle (L - 255mm W - 100)
Select Normal cutout optition
Give Depth of cut (Depth - 35mm)

Break Corner-1
Workflow :
Select break corner optition
Select required edge to blend and give Radius (Radius - 25mm)

Break Corner-2
Workflow :
Select break corner optition
Select required edge to blend and give Radius (Radius - 60mm)

Unbend
Workflow :
Select unbend optition
Select Stationary face and bend face

Bead
Workflow :
Draw 2d sketch line (L - 255mm)
Give depth and radius (D - 7mm R - 7mm)

Hole
Workflow :
Select hole optition and enable through body optition
Give diameter of hole (Dia - 20mm)
