Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_6_Bracket
BACKET
OBJECTIVES:
To create "Bracket" from the given 2D Drawing
INTRODUCTION:
Sheet metal is metal formed by an industrial process into thin, flat pieces. Sheet metal is one of the fundamental forms used in metalworking and it can be cut and bent into a variety of shapes. Countless everyday objects are fabricated from sheet metal. Thicknesses can vary significantly extremely thin sheets are considered foil or leaf, and pieces thicker than 6 mm (0.25 in) are considered plate steel or "structural steel."
DESCRIPTION OF TOOLS:
Normal Cutout is a command to cut material by projecting a sketch onto the model and then cutting perpendicular to the surfaces intersected by the projection.
Break Corner is a command to round or chamfer sharp corners of a tab or flanges.
Hole is the command to create a hole on the surface
Bead is a command to lift material along the contour of a sketch that simulates a stamping tool. Beads can also be created to stiffen sheet metal parts.
Contour Flange is a command to create a flange by extruding a sketch along a vector or by sweeping a sketch along an edge.
Unbend is a command used to flatten the sheet metal with respect to one flat sheet.
Rebend is a command used to bring back the flatten sheet due to unbend feature to its original shape.
