SURFACE MODELING OF YACHT

Objective:

• The objective of this project is used to create a surface model of different parts of the yatch using solidworks.
• To assemble the different parts modeled for the yatch.

part modeling:

• part modeling you can create a part from a conceptual  sketch through solid feature based modeling.as well as build and modify parts through direct and intuitive graphical manipulation.

surface modeling:

• surface modeling gives you the ability to build out a visual representation of an objects exterior and its countours .in other words ,it is a surface.
• surface modeling plays a major role in modeling yatch.most of the parts in the yatch are surface modeled.
• The following are the fetures used in surface modeling.

Loft surface

• Loft surfaces and surfaces generated by multipe 3D curves or existing edges creating a smooth tangency between the selected curves.

Sweep Surfaces

• sweep surfaces are surfaces that are generated from a section curve positioned along a path.

Filled surface

• The filled surface feature constucts a surface path with any number of sides ,within a boundary defined by existing edges ,sketches,or curves including composite curves.

surface trim

• primarily used to cut away material from the surface and provides two modes:standard, mutual.

Extend surface

• Extend surface is used to extend the surface which is already created.

surface knit

• surface knit is used to knit the two free edges/open edges of the surfaces together.also it reduces the gap between the two edges of the surface.

1.PROPELLER

• a propeller is a fan mechanism that transmit power by converting rotational motion into thrust. usually consisting of 3 or more blades.

• Marine radars are X band or S band radars on ships,used to detect the oyher ships and land obstacles.
