Some knowledge of C / C++ / Python would be beneficial but its not a constraint as all basics of programming in C / C+ and Python are covered in the course itself. So even if one has no background in software development, he / she can easily learn the basic programming skills required for completing this course and then would develop small IoT applications that could be further expanded to build real life IoT applications with some additional reading, and practice.
