Week 1 - Language Fundamentals and Programming

The MATLAB programming language involves elements such as arithmetic values, array indexing, data types, and variables. These are fundamental for learning the advanced concepts in MATLAB. It is therefore important for learners to understand these basics in order to develop programs.

Week 2 - Programming and Graphics

MATLAB program files with commands and function calls are known as scripts. These program files can be written to visualize data in 2D and 3D graphical forms as well. As writing MATLAB codes and visualizing the data are essential to research and developments in the industry, it is important for learners to know the basics of writing scripts.

Week 3 - Mathematics

Traveling Salesman Problem using MATLAB

You will get to work on a traveling salesman problem with 20 stations to visit in the city using the x and y coordinates generated using the “rand” function (range 0-100km). The sequence that leads to the smallest cost function will be the optimal solution. At the end of this project, you will have to deliver a MATLAB script that solves and plots the solutions and individual plots (one for each solution in “.jpeg” format).
