Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge
Download following cad data & define it as Electrical support using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Download required CAD data from given link for p clamp and back shell.

Save it as a cat part document. And create the points and plane for entry and exit point of the harness In p clamp.
And define p clamp as a support define entry ,exit point and base point.
Do the same for other side also.
If the entry point is defined the point is hide see in above fig.
In above figure both the opening are defined as a entry point so both points are hidden.
Then save in to the separate catalogue for future requirements.
Next we go for the back shell.
Back shells are protective device used in wiring harness bundle and connector connection point. It can be available in many types as required.
Download the back shell stp file from the given link and save as acat part in catia v5.
Then analysis the given back shell for connector and bundle entry points.
Create the points and axis system for the connector entry and bundle entry.

Then go to the electrical part design
Define the part as a back shell
Next we crate a corrugated tubes for protection of wiring harness.
Create a new part.
Go for define protective equipment.
We need following types of cot tubes.
First we create 15mm cot tubes by using given Inner dia and outer dia and thickness and the bend radius is also calculate thickness x outer dia

By enter the given data the cot tube are created .
Then create the cot tubes for other dimension required.

Next we add all the cot tubes we created in to the catalogue document for easy access in future.
All first we create a catalogue document
Create a family as a cot tubes and the category as a conduit.

Then save in to the required directory.
Then add all the cot tubes one by one into the catalogue document.

Before we add the part in to the catalogue first save it.
Finally all the cot tube parts are added in to the separate catalogue document named as a cot tubes.
