Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge

P clamp

I have downloaded the p clamp from the link which is provided in this challenge and after the successful installation of the p clamp, I have worked on it by CATIA v5.

 We have to insert a point and plane on the bundle entry and exit side of the p clamp. and one more point and plane in the base support of the P clamp.

After inserting points and planes we have to define it as electrically, by the command called define electrical support which is available in the electrical part design.

Create a catalog and add this p clamp in that catalog for future usage in the assembly work.

CREATION OF BACKSHELL

I have downloaded the BACKSHELL.part from the link which is provided in this challenge and after the successful installation of the part, I have worked on it by CATIA v5.

We have to insert a point on the center of the surface of the bundle entry side of the backshell part. and then insert another point and axis on the backshell connection point side (i.e it should be at the center).

After then we have to define it as electrically, by defining the backshell as bundle connection point and backshell connection point which is available at the electrical part design workbench.

 

 After that create a catalog and add this back shell into that, for further usage in the assembly workbench.

Corrugated tubes 

We can directly create protection ( corrugated tubes ) tubes by using a command called define protection part which is available in the electrical part design,

we can change the protection tubes diametres by using that same command which is mentioned above,

after creating n number of protection tubes we have to create a catalog for this tubes and add all the tubes into that catalogue for further usage in to the electrical assembly workbench.
