Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge
I. P_Clamp
Download the P_Clamp 3D data From online websites (te.com)
Open it in CATIA-V5 Start Defining the part
Define the Geometry Parameters
1. Points and Planes are defined in Part design Workbench
2. Points are defined at entry and exit Surface of the P_Clamp
3. Planes are defined at the entry , exit points and Base plane created with Offset which are normal to the surfaces
Then Switch Electrical part design work bench to define the electrical properties of of the P_Clamp
1. Define P_Clamp as a support with Entry plane , exit plane and base plane
II. Tyco 1738312 (BackShell)
Download the Tyco 1738312 Backshell 3D data from online websites (te.com)
Open it in CATIA-V5 Start Defining the part
Define the Geometry Parameters
1. Points and axis system are defined in Part design Workbench
2. Points are defined at Connector connecting and Bundle entry Surfaces of the Tyco 1738312
3. Axis system is defined at Connector connecting Point
Then Switch Electrical part design work bench to define the electrical properties of of the Tyco 1738312
1. Define part as a Backshell
2. Define Backshell connection Point at connector mating surface
3. Define bundle connection Point at other end of the the Part
III. Corrugated tubes
Create covering 3D part
1. Open CATIA-V5 new file (part)
2. In Electrical part design workbench Click on Define Protection part add the given dimensions as per th
requirements (Bend radius should be 1.5 times of Outer diameter)
3. Ceate new catalogue for storing these Corrugated tubes With family name- COT Tubes
