Steps involved in flattening the wiring harness

• Lets create a product file and name it
• Switch to Electrical harness flattening workbench

• Select the command 'flattening parameters' & select the desired conditions , and add them.
• Now open the harness assembly product file in seperate window.
• Save the flattened assembly and harness assembly in the same location.
• In order to import the product file in to flattening assembly file, click newly created flaterning file & click on extract command and then the product file.

• After importing we should flatten the assembly.
• Click on command 'flatten' and select the desired plane as flattening plane ,select all the branches to be flatten.

• Now lets rotate the bundle as we seen in the harness layout using rotate command
• After clicking the command click on the bundle starting end , not the connector side part

• Save the flattened assembly and harness assembly in the same location.
• Now lets place the flattened face in to the drawing sheet.
• Create a new drawing file and tile the drawing file and flattened assembly file vertically.

• Lets insert the front view in to the drawing sheet
• Click on the font view command then click on the dezired plane of the flattened assembly

Turn on 3D wireframe as always visible and solve the error

CONCLUSION

We have succesfully flattend the harness assembly and drafted into the drawing sheet. As per condition,different representation was given to the bundle segments and the protective coverings.
