Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 7 Challenge

Flattening Process
Given Connectors are
DT06-4S
DT06-6S
DT06-2S
DT06-08SA

Download these connectors 3D data From online websites (te.com)
Open it in CATIA-V5 Start Defining the part
Define the Geometry Parameters in Part Design
1. Points and axis system are defined in Part design Workbench
2. Points are defined at Connector connecting and Bundle entry Surfaces of connectors
2. Axis system is defined at Connector connecting Point

Then Switch to Electrical part design work bench to define it as a connector and the
electrical properties of of the Connectors like connector connection point and Bundle connection point

After this process
Switch to Electric Harness Assembly
1. Add New Product Rename it as a Harness Context Assembly
2. Add all these connectors in One bundle Rename it as Geometrical Bundle which is a sub level Product file
3. Arrange all these connectors as per the given layout with the dimensions
4. Add Multi-Branchable Document in Geometrical Bundle Tree to create Bundle between the Connectors and
5. Add Protecting Coverings with COT TUBES Keeping End Extremity 30mm from the connector

Harness Flattening:

1. Switch to Harness Flattening Workbench and Define the Flattening Parameters.
2. We use the Extract command to bring the Harness assembly to the Flattening workbench
3. Add Suitable the Plane and start flattening the Harness Assembly by Selecting all the Bundles
4. Rotate the Bundle at the requied Angles.

Drawing and Drafting

1. Switch to new drawing and start drafting
2. Select front View add the Flattening product to drawing file
3. Flattening Parameters are defined in order to make
4. Bundle with single line and corrugated Tubes in 3d drawing
5. Add ballon to every Connectors and Corrugated tubes
6. Make a table name the connectors
