Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 4 Challenge

Q1. Route the following harness layout in Electrical workbench. Make assumption for harness bundle diameters. Use Following connectors as shown in layout diagram.

Add protective covering on all branches connected to DT06-2S & DT06-4S connectors. Keep end extremity at 30mm (from connectors end)

Steps

First, import all the connectors into the mechanical part design and mark the center points and axes. Then we electrically define the connectors and mark bundle entry points.

We use the multi branchable to add all the necessary branches, and branch points in the wiring and harness assembly.

One by one route the wiring to connector , the main trunk is of 10 mm dia and others are 8 and 5 respectively.

We use the protection covers we already added to the catalogs to cover them and give 30mm end and start extremity points.
