Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

Que1.

In the above automotive diagram , on the right side we have 2 tail light , 2 dome light and one plate lamp along with the gas tank unit.

on the left down side we have the major battery and starter motor which is connected to the ammeter and then light switch where the control of all the lights are taken place along with a fuse which is mounted for saftey pupose.

In the centre portion we have the foot selector switch , current and voltage regulator , generator , distributor , breaker and ignition coil. on the right side we have 2 parking lamps , 2 horns and 2 sealed beam light

Que 2.

1. Battery - a battery provides the power for the overall electrical needed for the entire circuit. battery is a device that stores chemical energy and converts it to electrical energy. The chemical reactions in a battery involve the flow of electrons from one material to another, through an external circuit.

2. Starter - A starter is a device used to give initial rotation for an engine so as to initiate the engine operation under its own power. The starter draw power from battery and the elctromagntic flux makes a turning effect which help the cranck to rotate from stationary to small rotation.

3. Ignition coil - The igniton coil gives the high voltage for spark plugs . The ignition coil transforms the electrical energy from the vehicle battery into high voltage, saves it briefly and then emits it as a high voltage current pulse to the spark plug.

Que3.

The battery is having 10A rating so we have to tke slight more ampere for fuse ie 12A and 15 A can be used.

Que 4.

The load is said to be 500W and we take 12v as potential then the capcity is said to be

Power = capacity * voltage , ie capacity = power/voltage

Capacity = 500/12 = 41.67 Ah.

Que 5 .

The tail stop and beam lights are connected in series in order to provide equal potential and when one turned off/damaged the other will also work.

Que 6.

The sensor and actuators , fuse are connected in series so that the circuit will break when an overload current flows
