Connector defination in CATIYA V_5

1. Deutsch DT06 – 08SA

Create a points of connectors which we have to connect ,

Create a geometrical axis for connection ,

Bundle connectoin point ,

Now switch to electrical part design

Define the connector , connector connection points in catiya no termination is given as 8 because our connector having 8 points of wire entry ,

Define bundle connection point ,

Define connector connection point ,

Now , our connector is ready to connect.

2. Tyco 174357-2

Define goemetrical parameter to the part ,

Define bundle entry point ,

Defining the Geometrical Parameter for clip or cavity attachment ,

Now switch to electrical part design

Define the connector , connector connection points in catiya no termination is given as 3 because our connector having 3 points of wire entry

Defining bundle connection point ,

Defining Connector Connecting Point ,

3. Tyco 85229-1

Defining a point of mounting clip or cavity

Now , move towards Electrical part design

Defining part as cavity ,

Move towards electrical assembly design

connecting the connector & Cavity clip ,

Conclusion :-

• Both the connector & connector clip are define as electrical connector & electrical mounting equipment.
• All necessary geometrical properties are given to parts.
