Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 2 Challenge

The process of defining connectors as electric components is important in order  to make it easier to use at multiple areas in assembly and its is also a best way to be done to provide clear input for further modifications.

If some connectors are used at multiple areas it will be a best practice to add them in catalog.

Below are the points, which makes the connecters as electric components.

• Download the connector and its related parts from the supplier site.
• Create required geometrical parameters in part design, like connector connection point and axis, bundle connection point.
• Then move to electrical part design and define the part as 'define connector' for connecters and for connector clip as 'Define cavity.
• Define bundle connection point, connector connection point and cavity connection point.
