Week 9 - Project - Master Section Development
AIM:To develop the master section which is given as input to solid structure with appropriate design guidelines.
MASTER SECTION: The master section in automobiles is very essential in designing.It is a guide to the design requirements ,they are used in concept validation,feasibility check before the process enters into new product development in a company.
DRAFT ANALYSIS:
The minimum draft angle used here is 3 deg.
The highlighted places in the picture is measured in the below image.
The angle measured is 2.364 deg which is acceptable.
The angle in the blue part is 2.305 deg which is toolable one.
DRAFT ANALYSIS ON DOG HOUSE WITH 4 WAY LOCATOR:
The minimum draft angle used for the dog house and the locator is 0.5 deg.A different tooling axis is created for the inner part of dog house,the one in blue color is side core axis.The outer part can be manufactured using the main tooling axis,for the inner one we have to use another axis.
The angle is 0.541 deg for the wall of dog house this is the symmetry of main dog house which is given the aster section input
CLOSED SURFACE CREATION:
CLASS A SURFACE:
The improved class A is provided(if not try to improve it) without the side flanges,with refernce to the master section we should create the flanges by sweep operation then join them provided with necessary fillets.
CLASS B SURFACE:
The B surface is created with A surfface reference offseted from the A surface make sure the fillets are provided with necessary dimensions.
CLASS C SURFACE: The C surface is created with the boundary on A surface,the boundary is not created for the entire surface at once inorder to avoid errors in the surface.

The ribs are created in the b surface where the near by surface are extracted for the ribs creation.The ribs are created at a distance of 50mm are apart which are mentioned.
