Week 9 - Project 1 - Door Applique Design with Engineering Features
Procedure for making of Locators and Heat Stacks:
First upon check the class A surface. It should not be have any defects.
1) Creation of Tooling Axis:
First create a Point on the Class A surface and create a line through that point, and that will be the tooling axis.

Class B Creation-
First upon extrapolate the separate surfaces. Then by doing Untrim, offsetting and trimming them together, we will get final output of class B surface.

Class C creation:
To generate class C surface, use sweep on boundary of class A surface & then join it with the class A surface to get final output
of class C surface.

1) Now trim that class C surface with the class B surface to get required surface with required thickness.

2) Now by using Closed Surface command from part design, make it a solid surface.

3) Now give thickness to the door attachment in direction of door applique thickness in part design.
4) Creation of Locators-
Locators are here used to restrict motion of body in 12 degree of freedom.
Draw 4-way locators in the two corners of the surface and the 2-way locator in between the in a downward direction such that they all together form a triangle shape. Using this locator only 11 degrees of freedom are restricted and the remaining one is restricted using the heat stakes. Provide clearance around locators.
Heat Stakes Creation-
Extract the body of Class A surface and locate equidistance points on that extract. After that draw a hollow cylinder on the surface.
For proper fixture, create ribs on Heat Stakes.

Add all components in one part body using boolean operations to make it a single body.
