Week 9-Creation of 1D Connectors Challenge
Objective: To mesh the given geometry with the given quality criteria and create the given connectors.
Procedure:
- Generate 2D mesh for the given components and rectify the mesh for better quality.
- For Seam-Quad(angled+capped+L): (1D - Connectors - Seam - Quad(angled+capped+L) - select edge nodes)
- For Quad elements: (1D - Connectors - Seam - quads - select edge nodes)
- For Spot weld: (1D - Connectors - Spot - weld - do twice (one for each pair of surface))
- For Hexa (Adhesive): (1D - Connectors - Seam - hexa(adhesive) - set width - do twice (one for each pair of surface))
- For Bolt connector: (1D - Connectors - bolt - select 3 nodes - general - create hole if none)
- For spot weld: (1D - Connectors - Spot - rigid/spring - select nodes across the entire edge)
- Connect other components with appropriate connectors.
Result: The geometry has been meshed and the connectors are applied.
