Week 9-Challenge

Objective:-

To attach the various parts of the given model using connector.

Tools used:-

• 1D connectors Seam
• 1D connectors Spot
• 1D connectors bolt
• Quick edit panel(split surface using node and line,etc)
• Node edit(align node)
• 2D automesh

Procedure followed:-

• Import the Hm file
• Do manual autocleanup wherever required.
•  Now proceed to join the components via various connectors as follows:
•  right rail 2 front truss 1 :- Seam quad (angle-capped-L)
• 2) Left rail2 front truss 1 :- quad elements
• 3) Front truss 2 front truss 1 & right rail 1 :- Spot weld with 3 layers and 5 mm diameter
• 4)  Front_truss_2, Front_truss_1 & Left_Rail_1:- Hexa (Adhesive)
• 5) Rear_truss_2 & Right_Rail_2:- Bolt Connector
• 6) Rear_truss_2 & Left_Rail_2:- Bolt Connector
• 7) Spot weld with rigid elements right rail 1 and right rail 2
• 8) Left rail 1 and left rail 2 with spot weld spring elements
•  
• 9) Rest all the component left Join them with suitable connectors
• a) Reinf plate and front truss 2 via spot weld with 3mm diameter.
• b) Reinf plate and front truss 1 via spring elements
• c) Left rail 2 and front truss 2 via rigid elements
• d) Rear truss 1 and rear truss 2 via hexa(RBE 2& RBE 3) connectors

Conclusion:-

The final Model is connected via all the required connectors.
