tooling axis

tooling axis is the axis in which we have to open the injection mold core and cavity for this one we do not use traditional method for projecting tooling axis we use a dummy tooling axis in the x direction because it clears all the patch and as we see that the surface are irregular so we creat a point on the curve and draw a line in point direction(x axis)

and check the draft analysis we found that our tooling axis is ok

draft

draft is the angle which is given to the material to avoid sticking of material with mold the max. draft valuse is 3 degree but their is a fact that if the opening of mold is parallel to the tooling axis than we give draft by the refrence surface with 90 degree and for other we give the 3 degree draft in the tooling direction in this we apply both concept
