Week 10 - Challenge 2- Attachment Feature Creation (Dog House)

tooling axis

the tooling axis is the axis in which the mold is going to be open for tooling axis we had to find a circular hole or a plane surface in this part all the surafce 's are tilt at some angle so we create a dummpy tooling axis and check that if it clear all the surafces in draft analysis and our draft analysis is ok

side tooling axis

the side tooling axis is for the dog house as if the interior surafce of the dog house will not drafted well with the side tooling axis it will create problem during the mold process

draft analysis

draft is the angle given to the part so that it will not create problem during the ejection from the mold for main body the draft angle is 0.5-3 degree and for the dog house draft angle is 1.5 degree both ( side tooling , main tooling axis)

dog house

for dog house we create a plane and a point on the extracted surface and then create a postioned sketch on which we cretea square of 12*12

and then we sweep it with draft angle 1.5 with driction of main tooling axis after that we drafted the interior surface with the side tooling axis (1.5 degree) and then filleted the edges and the c part is ranged from 3 to 6 so we choose 4 and trim with the thicken surface and the thickness we give is 2
