Week 9 Challenge

1)Energy management:

The energy management system is used to determine which energy source is to be used and which is to be charged.

The input to the model is the power requirement of the vehilce which is given from a signal builder and the positive requirement is separated using the switch block and is fed into the subsystem.

The subsystem has two parts one for the ultracpacitor and the other for the fuel cell.The power demand is separated acoording to the ultracapcitor test values as low and high and the result is compared with the soc of the battery which is given as a ramp signal and the result from both low and high are added to give the entire UC power requesst.

The fuel cell backup is done by comparing the low and high values of UC and soc of battery and the result is added to give the backup which is then added with result obtained from the fuel cell test containng the power demand.The result gives the FC power request.

The Uc request scope is shown above the value starts from zero and reaches the maximum value of 4.2 and then starts to decrease to zero.
